The Bearer is a performed ritual that takes place to install the sculpture and to de-install the sculpture. The bearer is carried around in a procession accompanied by improvisational chanting and other ritual elements. The performance mainly takes place outside and will end within the gallery space. It will be displayed there until the exhibition comes to an end, then the ritual will be performed again by carrying the bearer out of the gallery in a procession on to it's next destination....
